DECISION No.713-TTg OF AUGUST 30, 1997 SUPPLEMENTING THE LIST OF INDUSTRIAL PARKS WHERE INVESTMENT SHALL BE GIVEN PRIORITY TILL THE YEAR 2000

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;

Pursuant to the Regulation on Industrial Parks, Export Processing Zones and Hi-Tech Zones issued together with Decree No.36-CP of April 24, 1997;

Having considered Presentation No.4784/BKH-QLDA of August 5, 1997 of the Minister of Planning and Investment and Presentation No.150/BQL of July 18, 1997 of the Chairman of the Vietnam Board of Management of Industrial Parks,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To add the following industrial parks to the list of industrial parks where investment shall be given priority till the year 2000, which was issued together with Decision No.519-TTg of August 6, 1996:

1. Thuy Van industrial park (Phu Tho province),

2. Kim Hoa industrial park (Vinh Phuc province),

3. Song Cong industrial park (Thai Nguyen province),

4. Phu Cat industrial park (Ha Tay province),

5. Le Mon industrial park (Thanh Hoa province),

6. Nghi Son industrial park (Thanh Hoa province),

7. Vung Ang industrial park (Ha Tinh province),

8. Highway No.9 industrial park (Quang Tri province),

9. Northern Chu Lai industrial park (Quang Nam province),

10. Quang Phu industrial park (Quang Ngai province),

11. Phu Tai industrial park (Binh Dinh province),

12. Hoa Hiep - Tuy Hoa industrial park (Phu Yen province),

13. Phan Thiet industrial park (Binh Thuan province),

14. Hung Phu industrial park (Can Tho province),

15. Duc Hoa 1 industrial park (Long An province),

16. My Tho industrial park (Tien Giang province),

17. Sa Dec or Cao Lanh industrial park (Dong Thap province).

Article 2.- Basing themselves on the above-supplemented list of industrial parks, the People’s Committees of the concerned provinces shall organize and direct the elaboration of feasibility study reports to be submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval in accordance with current stipulations. The feasibility study reports must clarify the issues mentioned in Article 4 of the Regulation on Industrial Parks, Export Processing Zones and Hi-Tech Zones issued together with Decree No.36-CP of April 24, 1996 of the Government.

Article 3.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing.

Article 4.- The ministers, the heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the presidents of the People’s Committees of the concerned provinces, the chairman of the Vietnam Board of Management of Industrial Parks and the chairpersons of the provincial Boards of Management of Industrial Parks shall have to implement this Decision.
