DECREE No. 60/1999/ND-CP of July 24, 1999 readjusting the administrative boundaries and splitting My Van and Chau Giang districts, Hung Yen province

To divide My Van district into 3 districts of My Hao, Van Lam and Yen My.

My Hao district has a land area of 7,152.9 ha and a population of 80,987, comprising 13 dependent administrative units. Van Lam district has a land area of 6,818.4 ha and a population of 92,301, with 11 dependent administrative units. Yen My district has a land area of 9,004.7 ha and a population of 121,927, comprising 17 dependent administrative units.

To divide Chau Giang district into Khoai Chau and Van Giang districts.

Khoai Chau district has a land area of 13,073.1 ha and a population of 184,079, comprising 25 dependent administrative units. Van Giang district has a land area of 7,316.8 ha and a population of 91,780, comprising 11 dependent administrative units.- (Summary)
