Promulgated together with this Decision was the Regulation on organization and operation of the International Cooperation Department, which is an unit attached to the Ministry of Science and Technology, assisting the Minister in managing international cooperation activities throughout the country in the Ministry's State management domains prescribed by law.

The Regulation prescribes the functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure and working relationships of the International Cooperation Department.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Decision No. 549/QD-TCCB of October 8, 1993 of the Science, Technology and Environment Minister (now the Science and Technology Minister) promulgating the organization and operation charter of the International Relations Department.- (Summary)
