DECISION No. 09/2004/QD-BKHCN of April 29, 2004 promulgating the organization and operation charter of Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission Promulgated together with this Decision is the organization and operation charter of Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission (VAEC) under the Ministry of Science and Technology. VAEC is a scientific non-business organization, functioning to conduct scientific research and develop nuclear and atomic energy technologies in service of the work of State management over atomic energy and provide technical assistance to agencies performing the State management over radiation and nuclear safety. VAEC has the legal person status, its own seal and accounts opened at State treasuries and banks. This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Decision No. 2469/QD-TCCB of December 23, 1998 of the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment (now the Minister of Science and Technology), promulgating the organization and operation charter of Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission.- (Summary)
