DECREE No. 52/2002/ND-CP of April 29, 2002 prescribing the arm badges, rank badges, insignia and formal dress of Vietnam People’s Army

This Decree’s provisions on arm badges, rank badges, insignia and formal dress apply to officers, career military personnel, non-commissioned officers and soldiers on active service, mobilized reserve force as well as demobilized officers and career military personnel, who are entitled to wear them according to the Defense Ministry’s regulations.

Agencies, units, organizations and individuals are strictly prohibited to illegally produce, store, buy, sell or use arm badges, rank badges, insignia and uniforms of Vietnam People’s Army, if they commit violations, they shall be handled according to law provisions.

The change of arm badges, rank badges, insignia and formal dress of Vietnam People’s Army after the effective date of this Decree shall be decided by the Prime Minister.

To annul Decrees No. 74/HDBT of April 26, 1982 of the Council of Ministers prescribing the arm badges, rank badges, insignia and formal dress of Vietnam People’s Army; No. 78/HDBT of March 27, 1991 of the Council of Ministers amending and supplementing Decree No. 74/HDBT; and No. 94/CP of November 30, 1993 of the Government amending and supplementing Decree No. 74/HDBT.- (Summary)
