Decree No.8-CP of January 29, 1997 of the Government on the readjustment of the administrative boundaries of a number of communes in Yen Minh and Bac Quang districts, Ha Giang province To establish Du Tien commune of Yen Minh district on the basis of a land area of 5,815.3 hectares and a population of 2,223 of Du Gia commune. To establish Mau Long commune of Yen Minh district on the basis of a land area of 6,209.3 hectares and a population of 1,897 of Mau Due commune; a land area of 862.50 hectares and a population of 1,331 of Ngoc Long commune. To establish Thuong Binh commune of Bac Quang district on the basis of a land area of 4,374.3 hectares and a population of 1,701 of Bang Hanh commune. To establish Tan Thanh commune of Bac Quang district on the basis of a land area of 1,684 hectares and a population of 1,478 of Tan Lap commune, Bac Quang district; and a land area of 1,800.5 hectares and a population of 369 of Quang Ngan commune, Vi Xuyen district.- (Summary)
