DECISION No. 07/2001/QD-BNN-BVTV OF JANUARY 19, 2001 ON THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION, THE ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION AND THE SPECIAL REGISTRATION
OF A NUMBER OF PLANT PROTECTION DRUGS PERMITTED FOR USE OR LIMITED USE IN VIETNAM
THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 73/CP of November 1, 1995, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure
of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to Article 26 of the Ordinance on Plant Protection and Quarantine, promulgated on February 15, 1993;
Pursuant to the Regulation on the management of plant protection drugs, issued together with the Government’s Decree No. 92/CP of
November 27, 1993 guiding the implementation of the Ordinance on Plant Protection and Quarantine;
At the proposals of the director of the Plant Protection Department and the director of the Department of Science, Technology and
Product Quality.
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To permit the official registration of 9 plant protection drugs in the list of plant protection drugs permitted for use in Vietnam
(the list thereof is attached herewith), including 4 insecticides, 1 fungicide and 4 herbicides.
Article 2.- To permit the additional registration of 82 plant protection drugs in the list of plant protection drugs permitted for use in Vietnam
(the list thereof is attached herewith), including 42 insecticides, 24 fungicides, 11 herbicides, 2 termiticides, 1 rodenticide and
2 plant growth stimulants.
Article 3.- To permit the special registration of 6 plant protection drugs in the list of plant protection drugs permitted for use in Vietnam
and 1 plant protection drug in the list of plant protection drugs subject to restricted use in Vietnam (the lists thereof are enclosed
herewith).
Article 4.- The import and export of plant protection drugs on the lists of plant protection drugs, issued together with this Decision, shall
comply with Circular No. 41/2000/TT-BNN-KH of April 13, 2000 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export
and import of goods subject to the agricultural sector’s specialized management under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 242/1999/QD-TTg
of December 30, 1999 on the 2000 export and import management.
Article 5.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing.
The Plant Protection Department shall have to guide in detail the safe and effective use of the above-mentioned plant protection drugs.
Article 6.- The director of the Ministry’s Office, the director of the Plant Protection Department, the director of the Department of Science,
Technology and Product Quality, the heads of the units under the Ministry and Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals
that manage, produce, trade in and use plant protection drugs in Vietnam, shall have to implement this Decision.-
