On September 29 and 30, 2004, the Government held its September regular meeting, where it heard:

- The Minister of Culture and Information, the Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Health and the Minister-Director of the Committee for Physical Training and Sports reporting on the schemes on further socializing activities in the domain of culture, education and training, people's health protection and care, and physical training and sports;

- The Minister of Education and Training reporting on the education situation;

- The Minister of Health presenting a draft decree on medical insurance;

- The Minister of Planning and Investment presenting a draft ordinance on bidding for public procurement;

- The Minister of Finance presenting a draft ordinance amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Ordinance on Thrift Practice and Wastefulness Combat.

It also considered a report on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan in September and the first nine months of 2004, presented by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, a report on domestic market and import-export situation, presented by the Ministry of Trade, and heard the Minister of Foreign Affairs reporting on preparations for the 5^th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 5).- (Summary)
