DECREE No.111/1997/ND-CP of November 19, 1997 on the establishment of Tay Son township of Huong Son district and on the merger of Cam Tien commune with Cam Xuyen township, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province. To establish Tay Son township on the basis of 201 ha of natural land area and a population of 5,348 of Son Tay commune, and 219 ha of natural land area and a population of 511 of Son Kim commune. Cam Xuyen township, after the readjustment of its administrative boundaries, now has a natural land area of 660.95 ha and a population of 8,494.- (Summary)
