DECISION No.112/1998/QD-TTg of June 30, 1998 on the establishment of the National Steering Council for Compilation of the Encyclopedia of Vietnam

The National Steering Council for Compilation of the Encyclopedia of Vietnam shall have the following tasks:

- To draw up plans for compilation and publication of encyclopedic books of various kinds and the encyclopedia, then submit them to the Prime Minister for approval; to direct the execution of the approved compilation and publication plans;

- To approve the compiled contents of encyclopedic works, the encyclopedia and bear the responsibility for such contents;

- To manage the Encyclopedia Publishing House in accordance with provisions of the Law on Publication.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing. Decision No.163a/CT of May 15, 1987 of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers on the establishment of the National Steering Council for Compilation of the Encyclopedia of Vietnam and Decision No.321/CT of December 26, 1988 of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers on the establishment of the National Center for Compilation of the Encyclopedia of Vietnam are now annuled.- (Summary)
