DECISION No. 39/2001/QD-TTg of March 23, 2001 on the establishment of Northwest University To establish Northwest University on the basis of Northwest Teachers’ College. The headquarter of the University shall be located in Son La province. Northwest University is tasked to: - Train personnel of university and college levels - Provide professional fostering for officials and employees - Conduct scientific researches, technology transfer and provide technical services for socio-economic development of the northwestern region. Northwest University shall be placed under the management of the Ministry of Education and Training.- (Summary)
