Directive No.268-TTg of April 26, 1997 on the election of deputies to the Xth National Assembly and supplementary election of delegates to the People’s Councils of various levels for the 1994-1999 tenure.

The Presidents of the People’s Committees of various levels, the Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies and the Heads of the agencies attached to the Government shall be responsible to the Prime Minister for directing the election of deputies to the Xth National Assembly and the supplementary election of delegates to the People’s Councils of various levels for the 1994-1999 tenure. They shall have to carry out well the dissemination of the significance of the election, the relevant laws, prepare necessary facilities and material conditions... for the election, ensure the coordination among the agencies and mass organizations.- (Summary)
