DECISION No.987-TTg of November 21, 1997 on the establishment of a Steering Committee for implementation of the project on the construction of the historical relic of South Vietnam Resistance War Headquarters.

To set up a Steering Committee for implementation of the project on the construction of the historical relic of South Vietnam Resistance War Headquarters, with Mr. Vo Hong Quang, Vice-Minister of Culture and Information, as its head.

The Steering Committee shall provide consultancy and direct the collection of documents and materials on physical and nonphysical culture to serve as scientific basis for the elaboration of the feasible project, and at the same time perform such concrete tasks as: directing, urging and inspecting the project owner in the elaboration of the detailed planning and feasibility reports for project components; directing scientific research and training personnel for operation of the Historical Relics Center; mobilizing ital from other sources outside the State budget ital for investment in construction of the project.- (Summary)
