DIRECTIVE No.4/1998/CT-BCN of March 25, 1998 on the consultancy by the Vietnam Mechanical Engineering Society.

The Minister of Industry instructs the heads of the agencies and units in the industrial sector, the directors of the Industry Departments of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government to organize the implementation of Decision 1081/1997/QD-TTg of December 13, 1997 of the Prime Minister on the consultancy by the Vietnam Mechanical Engineering Society.

For large mechanical engineering projects, which were formulated by the Ministry of Industry for submission to the Government, the Ministry of Industry shall assign the project formulating bodies to consult the Vietnam Mechanical Engineering Society and report to the Ministry. For the projects and plans of economic, training, scientific and technological research organizations in the mechanical engineering sector, the consultancy shall be made according to the agreements between such organizations and the Vietnam Mechanical Engineering Society (in accordance with Clause 5, Article 2 of Decision No.1081/1997/QD-TTg) before such projects and plans are submitted to the higher-level agencies. The forms of consultancy shall be decided by the Vietnam Mechanical Engineering Society.- (Summary)
