DECREE No. 127/2003/ND-CP of October 31, 2003 establishing Nga Nam district of Soc Trang province To establish Nga Nam district on the basis of a land area of 24,196.81 ha and a population of 77,056 of Thanh Tri district. Nga Nam district shall have 8 dependent administrative units, including 7 communes and Nga Nam township, while Thanh Tri district shall be left with a land area of 28,817.42 ha and a population of 84,444 with 9 dependent administrative units, including 8 communes and Phu Loc township. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette, annulling all previous regulations contrary thereto.- (Summary)
