DECISION No. 77/2000/QD-TTg OF JUNE 28, 2000 DISSOLVING A NUMBER OF ORGANIZATIONS ESTABLISHED UNDER THE PRIME MINISTER’S DECISIONS

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;

Pursuant to the Government’s Plan for Realization of the Resolution of the 7th Plenum of the Party Central Committee (VIIIth Congress), issued together with Decision No. 207/1999/QD-TTg of October 25, 1999 of the Prime Minister;

At the proposals of the Minister-Head of the Government Commission for Organization and Personnel and the Minister-Director of the Government Office,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To dissolve the following organizations:

1. The Steering Committee for Socio-Economic Development in Ha Giang province and Muong Te district, Lai Chau province, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 190/TTg of April 23, 1994.

2. The Steering Committee for Research into the Perfection of Tax Policy System, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 152/TTg of March 11, 1995.

3. The Working Commission against Corruption and Smuggling, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 35/TTg of January 19, 1996. To assign the ministries, the ministerial-level agencies, the agencies attached to the Government and the People’s Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to perform the task of combating corruption and smuggling according to their respective functions and tasks.

4. The National Committee for Simplifying Aviation Procedures, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 83/TTg of February 5, 1996.

5. The State Steering Committee on Dung Quat Oil Refinery Project, Quang Ngai province, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 749/TTg of September 11, 1997.

6. The Steering Committee for Smuggling and Trade Fraud Combat, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 966/1997/QD-TTg of November 13, 1997. To assign the ministries, the ministerial-level agencies, the agencies attached to the Government and the People’s Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to perform the task of combating smuggling and trade frauds according to their respective functions and tasks.

7. The Working Team for Restructuring State Enterprises in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1021/TTg of December 1st, 1997.

8. The Inter-Disciplinary Working Committee on Official Development Assistance (ODA), established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 08/QD-TTg of January 19, 1998.

9. The Steering Committee for General Census and Dwelling House Survey, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 106/1998/QD-TTg of June 9, 1998.

10. The Vietnam Committee for the Elderly’s International Year, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 121/1998/QD-TTg of July 9, 1998.

11. The Steering Committee for Implementation of New Tax Laws, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 208/1998/QD-TTg of October 26, 1998.

12. The Steering Committee for Cooperation with International Financial-Monetary Organizations, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 217/1998/QD-TTg of November 11, 1998.

13. The Steering Committee for Overcoming "Y2K" in the fields where informatic technology is used, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 257/1998/QD-TTg of December 31, 1998.

14. The Steering Committee for Management of Rice and Fertilizer Export and Import, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 20/1999/QD-TTg of February 13, 1999.

15. The Group for Study of Mechanisms and Policies for Development of Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises, established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 133/1999/QD-TTg of May 31, 1999.

Article 2.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing.

The ministers, the heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the heads of the agencies attached to the Government and the presidents of the People’s Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities shall have to implement this Decision.
