Act on Special Provisions of the Radio Law Attendant upon the Enforcement of the "Agreement under ARTICLE VI of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and the United States of America regarding Facilities and Areas and the Status of United States Armed Forces in Japan" - Act No. 108 of 1952

# This English translation of the Act on Special Provisions of the Radio Law Attendant upon the Enforcement of the "Agreement under ARTICLE VI of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and the United States of America regarding Facilities and Areas and the Status of United States Armed Forces in Japan" has been prepared (up to the revisions of Act No. 102 of 1960 (Effective June 23, 1960) in compliance with the Standard Bilingual Dictionary (March 2007 edition). This is an unofficial translation. Only the original Japanese texts of laws and regulations have legal effect, and the translations are to be used solely as reference material to aid in the understanding of Japanese laws and regulations. Act on Special Provisions of the Radio Law Attendant upon the Enforcement of the "Agreement under ARTICLE VI of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and the United States of America regarding Facilities and Areas and the Status of United States Armed Forces in Japan" (Act No. 108 of 1952)

Notwithstanding the provisions of the Radio Law (Law No. 131 of 1950), radio stations for the use of the United States armed forces in Japan based upon the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States and Japan shall be governed by the provisions of the "Agreement under ARTICLE VI of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and the United States of America regarding Facilities and Areas and the Status of United States Armed Forces in Japan".

Supplementary Provisions

This Act shall come into force as from the day when the "Security Treaty between Japan and the United States of America" comes into force.

This Act shall come into force as from the day when the "Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and the United States of America" comes into force.
