The letter which was signed by the president and chief executive officer of your bank, Takashi Morimura, on January 25, 2006, has been received by this Commission.

You are hereby approved to close up your Shanghai Representative Office according to the Measures for the Administration of Foreign-funded Financial Institutions' Representative Offices in China (Order No. 8, 2002 of the People's Bank of China). Please carry out the related cancellation formalities in accordance with the related provisions.
